The Boat: "Last Mango" (Named for the Jimmy Buffett song: Last Mango in Paris)
The boat is a 1 owner boat. It was purchased from the Young Brothers Boats of Maine by its current owner in 1987. The Young Brother's built only 550 boats. They became famous for building iconic, rugged, and fast "Downeast" or "lobster-style" hulls. Designed by master boatbuilder Ernest Libby Jr., the legendary semi-displacement fiberglass hulls were praised for their speed and seaworthiness. The owner used the boat for over 20 years as a commercial longlining fisherman, rebuilding/re tooling as needed. In 2004, he had it rebuilt/customized as a fishing charter boat, including, added hard top, marlin tower with helm, Rupp outrigger's and a complete re power with a new single Volvo engine that now has only 1175 (at time of this writing) since the last major rebuild/overhaul in 2024. The engine is fuel efficient yet powerful enough to get to the fishing grounds fast and with the boat design, it does so comfortably for the clients. It has clean lines, dual helms due to the added marlin tower and plenty of comfortable seating for clients. The boat has been designed for the full off shore fishing experience for the clients, with the fighting chair, tuna door, extra rocket launchers, outriggers, teaser reels, 2 ice boxes, bait well and so much more all designed with an open cockpit and plenty of room to reel in the big ones! There is one cabin and one head with a shower. The boat is custom designed for client experience in mind with lots of bench seating under the hardtop (Shade!) with 3/4 enclosed issenglass, and cup holders. This vessel is not only designed for fishing, but the full charter experience for the guests. This boat has been chartered for many of the local fishing tournaments and brought in a lot of winners over the years. The boat was just surveyed by a SAMS/NAMS certified surveyor who is also a marine structural engineer who has deemed the vessel in good condition and was very impressed overall with the boat in general. (Survey can be made available to serious buyers.)
The boat is being sold at it's pre listing survey valuation of $185,000.
